Removing Restore Points

Here we can see how to remove restore points in Windows 7.

Restore Points

It is a Microsoft Windows feature that is used to restore the computer files such as installed applications, systems files, windows registry, and system setting. A system restore was first introduced by Windows Vista and a windows vista uses a shadow copy tool as a backend.

Following steps to remove restore points

First, need to do a clean disk process and second, remove the restore points both steps are shown below

Step 1

In Windows Explorer or My Computer, right-click the disk in which you want to free up space. Then click Properties > General tab > Start Disk Cleanup.

Select a file by clicking check box > click ok > then the selected files get cleaned.

Step 2

In Desktop -> Click short key (Windows + R) to open run -> type control in run search box -> the control panel will open > Under system and security tab select systems > at the left side in system folder select Advanced System Settings, and then under System Protection tab -> Select System Restore, click Delete then click ok.  A dialog box is displayed as shown in the following figure.
